Let’s do the maths now: the average life of a halogen 50 watt bulb is between 1,000 and 2,000 hours, approx. 1-2 years. Led lights can last up until 50 years or 50,000 hours.

Traditions bulbs release about 90% of their energy as heat. LEDs use energy far more efficiently with very little waste.
